The Latest News: October 3, 2013

Bancroft Public Library News:

Story Time @ the Library will be changing to Thursday afternoons at 4:00. We are pleased that we are able to offer a Story Time with the help of several volunteers. After Story Time, there is opportunity for the kids to play together, for caregivers to socialize, and for everyone to check out library materials.

A new offering this fall is an after school movie for kids, each Tuesday at 3:30 PM. Come and join the fun!

Did you know?
We have free Wi-Fi at the library, seven computers available for public access, and we have a coin operated photocopy machine. Of course we have books, but we also have other materials to borrow, including DVDs and Blu-ray discs. If you can't find what you're looking for, we can most likely order it for you from another library in our system. You can even search our catalog online. Go to our website: http://www.slibrary.org and click on the link for "Library Catalog" to get started. You can place requests online using your library card's bar code number. If you need any assistance using the library catalog, please stop in and ask questions, or give us a call. We're here to help!

Did you know you can access the library from the comfort of your own home? You can not only explore the library catalog, but there are also pages dedicated to online resources for kids and teens, plus you can find local historical information through our website, as well as use the library system's databases for research, job searches, and more!

New Library Cards:
If you need a library card, please come in to the library and fill out our brief registration form. We do require a form of identification, such as a driver's license, and a proof of address.
