Upcoming Library Events

The staff at Bancroft Public Library in Salem are very pleased to announce that we have many upcoming events scheduled. For the kids, every Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 a kid-friendly movie will be shown; and every Wednesday morning at 10:00 Story Time happens. Both are excellent opportunities to have fun with friends and enjoy the Library!

Plus, we haven't forgotten the adults! On Tuesday, October 1st, from 6 - 7 PM, we will be offering a Zentangle workshop for adults. Heidi Hammell, CZT, will be leading this FREE introductory class. The class and materials to complete one tangle are free. Additional materials, to be used at home, may be purchased at the end of the class.

On Saturday, October 5th, from 1 - 4 PM, we will be offering an adult basic computer skills workshop. The primary focus of this class will be to help adults learn how to use the library catalog, which can be an intimidating prospect to those with little to no computer experience. Beyond that, our instructor is willing to help participants with using Facebook, email, and other basic computer techniques as requested. Please bring your library card to the class!

Space is limited for both the Zentangle and computer workshops, so please contact the Library (by stopping in or calling 854-7463) ASAP to sign up.

Finally, we are planning to hold monthly adult/older teen movie nights, beginning on October 15th at 7:00 PM. More details on this will be forthcoming.

Stay tuned for more information about all we have planned at the Bancroft Library!
